Regional Leadership Seminar
On the weekend of February 23rd 2007, the Georgia Tech Chapter hosted DU chapters from all over Province 4 at the annual Regional Leadership Seminar (RLS). Programming at this event included seminars on Recruitment, Membership Education, Small Talk Etiquette, Ritual, Justice, to dressing right with the Brooks Brothers - you name it, we talked about it.
Brothers Keith Menezes and Nick White helped plan the weekend and hosted the brothers from the UNC chapter and the University of North Florida Chapter. Brothers Ted Duffy, Brandon O'Rear, Everett Brandt, Christopher Haille, Jeff Gilmour, Anshu Srivastava and Sean McNicholas helped with setting up several events. Province Governor Paul Taylor came by the house and was impressed by the state of affairs. Members of International as well as all that attended were happy with the way RLS turned out.
We would like to congratulate Brother Keith Menezes on being selected to represent Province Four South on the Undergraduate Advisory Board (UGAB).
Alumni donations
We are currently working on making your donations tax deductible, currently the easiest ways to donate money to the undergrad chapter is here or to send a check to the chapter house at 154 5th ST NW, Atlanta GA 30313
We have currently set up a display case for any alumnus that has donated $60 dollars or more toward our chapter. Any alumnus that donates $60 dollars or more has their name engraved on a plaque and put on our display. Gift's can be made in memory of a loved one such as a spouse or child. The plaques currently have the gifters name, the roll book number and semester they donated.
The chapter has received donations from Al Walters, Steve Dripps, Raymond Woo, and Adam Kaempf. We would like to thank these alumni for their support by giving their time and their financial resources to the chapter.
We hope to revive this tradition and
thank you for your donations thus far!
Greek Week
The Brothers of the Georgia Tech Chapter worked hard during Greek Week; every brother stepped up to the plate during this busy week. Our Associate Members also pulled their weight; Tim Van der Vall helped Brother Will Smolenski design our Greek Week banner. The Chapter also gave a helping hand to the ladies of Alpha Chi Omega in a couple of events.

Alumni Speakers
We would like to thank alumni Ken Ahrens, Bob McKeeman and Aaron G Paul for coming out and speaking to the chapter. Ken Ahrens talked to the chapter about why sticking out at Georgia Tech is important. He also talked about the importance of networking with people and how joining DU has really helped him. Brother Bob McKeeman talked about finding the right partner in life. Brother McKeeman highlighted several strategies to finding the right person as well as the different roles partners can take during relationships. Brother Paul talked to the chapter about experiencing life while in college as well as marketing yourself to the outside world.
The chapter would like to thank all the alumni have come out and spoken to the chapter. The talks have been informative and the chapter has thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Alumni.
Being an Alumni Speaker is a quick and easy way to become reacquainted with the Georgia Tech Chapter. Alumni just visit the chapter at around 7:00 PM on Wednesday to give a small talk or presentation on a topic of their choice; topics can range from car maintenance to how to find the perfect mate. Talks usually 10-15 minutes; if this sounds interesting contact Keith Menezes.
How can we help you?
We as undergrads are always
looking for ways to get the alumni more involved. Stop by the chapter
house and see what we are up to. We would like to see more alumni come
by and speak at our General Fraternity Meetings and share your wisdom
with us.
We are looking forward to seeing you tonight for Meet the Pledges/Poker,
Initiation on Saturday as well as our inaugural Wine and Cigar Gathering
on April 20th. We are currently trying to collect donations
for our Rush Fund, our 50th Anniversary celebration and our scholarship
so any donations would be greatly appreciated. We thank you in advance
for your generosity. Don't forget to check up on our website!
Please let us know if there is anything we can do to improve our Alumni Newsletters and we will see y'all tonight at 7 PM!
