Homecoming
We would like to thank all alumni that showed their support by stopping by for homecoming weekend. This homecoming DU put a strong showing in homecoming. Brother's Craig Whitehorne and Jacob McLocklin won first place at the talent show by performing on two sets of drums. Our banner also won first place largely due to the hard work of Brothers Robert Smith and Wilfried Smolenski. Many brothers and associate members had a fun time pomping for the display as well as participating in various other homecoming events. At the end of the day DU finished in the top ten.
Initiation
We had initiation November 4th, 2004 at the LeCraw Auditorium in the Management Building on Tech Square. Our associate members have worked hard learning all about the history, traditions of Delta Upsilon and Georgia Tech. They also completed a successful house improvement project of mounting a bar light above the pool table as well as building an entertainment center for our big screen TV. The associate members also purchased and installed a surround sound system and added leather slipcovers on our couches in the TV room. Many parents showed up to watch the initiation ceremony. The Georgia Tech Chapter welcomed 14 new members into the brotherhood. A reception followed immediately afterward. Congratulations to all our associate members.
Have you been by the house lately?
We welcome you to stop by and see what we have done to the house. Many changes have been made this past including completely repainting the house as well redoing the trophy case. Also through the generosity of Brothers Noah and Josh Guy's dad we received more plants for our yard this year. We would be happy to show you what we have done in the past year. Also please be sure to send us your updated contact information to Keith Menezes.
What events would y'all like?
The undergrads of the Georgia Tech Chapter would like to learn what kinds of events the alumni would be interested in participating in. We would like to plan more events that interest alumni. Also we are currently looking for alumni that would be interested in speaking to the chapter for 5 to 10 minutes about pretty much anything. In the past we have had alumni speak to us about financial management, their careers and how Delta Upsilon has helped them. We are also in the process of planning the 50th Anniversary for the Georgia Tech Chapter and would like to ask for your help in planning the event. If you would like to make a donation please visit our website. We thank you in advance for your support.
Happy Holidays!
